Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams showed Lorde some love during her 'The Secret of Us' tour in Auckland, New Zealand.

She performed a cover of Lorde's 2017 song, 'Liability', during her show's 'Surprise Song' segment.

Abrams has sung the cover in previous years, but it is only fitting that she does it again in Lorde's home country.

'Liability' featured on Lorde's second studio album, 'Melodrama'.

"Her voice is perfect for this," one fan wrote on Instagram.

Abrams will visit Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth before taking 'The Secret of Us' tour to Europe.

The tour, which kicked off in September 2024, supports her second studio album of the same name.

She performs several songs from the album, including 'I Love You, I'm Sorry' and 'Risk'.

During a recent interview with Billboard magazine, Abrams revealed that she would love to fill up big stadiums like Taylor Swift one day.

The 25-year-old was one of the opening acts during Swift's record-breaking 'Eras Tour'. She has also toured with Olivia Rodrigo.

"I could have never imagined myself admitting to that. I think having had the privilege of opening for Taylor in the stadiums that we played, to now have a visual reference and a real sense of what it feels like to be on a stage in that environment… It’s something that I miss and desperately hope to earn over time," she said.

At the rate she is going, that could be sooner than she thinks.

Speaking to Billboard, record producer Benny Blanco sang her praises.

"What’s so cool about her music is that she really tells it how it is, whether it makes her look great or not so great," he said.

Blanco recently worked with Abrams on his joint single with Selena Gomez, 'Call Me When You Break Up'. He says Abrams is a force to be reckoned with.

“She makes these songs that are huge in stadiums now, yet they also still feel like she’s whispering them into your ear in your bedroom at three in the morning."
