The worst earworms of all time
Updated | By Kriya Gangiah
The Oxford English Dictionary describes an 'earworm' as “a catchy tune which persistently stays in a person’s mind, especially to the point of irritation.” Are you ready for these earworms?
We all know these songs and sometimes we really hate them because we just can't get them out of our heads.
Interestingly, after a survey carried out by OnePoll, it was found that most of the top earworms were classic hits, which could be a sign that "newer songs aren't as catchy as they used to be"?
So, are you ready to get these classic songs stuck in your head?
1. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers
2. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
3. We are the Champions - Queen
4. Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
5. 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton
6. YMCA - Village People
7. Final Countdown - Europe
8. Uptown Funk - Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson
9. Shake It Off - Taylor Swift
10. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
