Two arrested for murder
Two men have been arrested for allegedly beating a man to death in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Thursday.
Marcelle Roopnarain, 24, died in hospital on Wednesday after he was assaulted in Phoenix, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
Roopnarain was attacked when he went to collect money the men owed him.
"When he asked for the money they assaulted him with a golf stick and he sustained open wounds on the chest and on the left arm," Zwane said.
The men, aged 28 and 34, were expected to appear in the Phoenix Magistrate's Court soon on a murder charge.
