SATY Awards: Here are the nominees
Honouring the best of South African talent and entrepreneurs, the ANN7 South African of the Year Awards will take place later this year.
In case you missed them, here are some of the nominations for this year's ANN7 South African of the Year Awards.
Celebrities painted the town red in tinsel town Joburg after attending ANN 7's South African of The Year Award's nominations.
The awards consist of 8 categories but the categories we're most interested in, are Music Artist of the Year, Personality of the Year and the South African of the Year category.
The Music Artist of the Year category is so competitive we actually think all artists on the list deserve to win the award. However we're placing our bet on Emtee and Black Coffee, both artists have had such an amazing year with regards to their careers.

We then move to the Personality of the Year category.
This list is just as competitive as the category mentioned above. Heavy hitters are dominating this list, from Somizi to Bonang and even Robert Marawa.
We're secretly rooting for Robert Marawa to win this category, though.

Then there's the South African Of the Year category, which we would consider as the most important category of them all.
Every person placed on this list definitely deserves to be on there.
They've raised the South African flag so high this year you cannot help but be proud of all their achievements in 2016, from Caster Semenya to Dwayne Wayde & Black Coffee.
Fans are going to have a difficult time when voting.
