ANC leagues want Mthembu's head
The ANC military veterans league, Umkhonto we Sizwe, as well as the ANC Youth League are calling for the head of ANC Chief Whip, Jackson Mthembu.
This, after Mthembu said the entire ANC National Executive Committee should resign, as they are collectively responsible for the mess the party is in.
Mthembu also hit out at the party's top six for the charges of fraud brought against Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan.

"We cannot be the leadership that takes the ANC from these difficulties because we are so factionalised," he told Jacaranda FM News.
"If people do not have confidence in the ANC, we must create the conditions for other people to take us from this morass."
ANC spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa says it will be extremely irresponsible for the top six to resign without accounting to the branches who elected them.
"As for members who continue to speak in public on issues, although they have platforms internally, we call on them to refrain from making comments about the organisation outside the ANC," Kodwa said.
