Implement free higher education now: ANCYL
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) is demanding the immediate implementation of free quality higher education.
Addressing the media on the fees crisis on Thursday, the league called on its mother body to start listening to the youth.
In an about-turn, the ANCYL said they will be marching alongside students to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
The league said the ANC must implement its resolution of free education immediately.
"We are calling on the ANC to listen to its youth. We are not blaming an individual. It's a resolution of the ANC which must then be implemented by the ANC and its government," ANCYL President Collen Maine said.

The ANCYL also wants the fees commission to table its recommendations before the end of the year.
The league announced it will be marching to the National Treasury and the Minister of Finance's office to demand free quality higher education.
