Third bus accident in KZN since Friday morning
Three people have been killed and more than 60 people have been injured after a bus, a light motor vehicle and a bakkie collided on the R617 near Underberg in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday morning.
According to Netcare 911, all the deceased were occupants of the light motor vehicle.
"The passengers from the bus as well as bakkie sustained moderate to minor injuries. They were all stabilised on scene by Netcare911 paramedics, the Provincial EMS as well as another service provider on scene before they were transported to various hospitals in the area for further medical care," Netcare 911 said.
This is the third bus accident in the province since Friday morning.
More than 50 children were injured when a bus rolled down an embankment off the R603 in Umbumbulu on Friday morning, while a bus ferrying about 50 school girls from a Durban school overturned in Amanzimtoti last night.
