Tshwane Executive mayor Solly Msimanga has laid criminal charges against some senior officials who served in the previous administration.

Msimanga laid the first corruption charges against senior officials of the previous City of Tshwane administration, saying he is serious about rooting out corruption.
Msimanga says they are going after corrupt officials, even if they resigned after the August polls.
"I've already laid criminal charges against those who have been implicated in some of these shady dealings that has been taking place in our city and we are going to continue doing that," he said.
He says the will continue finding those who have siphoned money from the city into their own pockets.
"We need to retrieve some of that money so that we can channel that money towards service delivery. I am serious when I say that crime and corruption is not going to be allowed in the city."
