WATCH: All aboard! Titanic II to set sail in 2018
Updated | By Suné du Toit
An exact replica of the famous Titanic is set to sail the Atlantic Ocean in 2018.
Australian billionaire and Blue Star Line chairman Clive Palmer is behind the project that was announced in 2012.
According to reports, the replica of the world's most famous ship, which sailed into the hearts of many after the film with the same name premiered in 1997, is under construction with its first voyage set for 2018.
It is said that it will look almost exactly like the doomed ship that sank in 1912 after it hit an iceberg, which claimed the lives of more than 1 500 people.
The only difference will be improved safety measures, including more lifeboats and a welded hull. The original Titanic's hull was riveted.

Ahead of 2018 meanwhile, the BP Express Cruise will set sail for the Portugese Islands in March with the Martin Bester Drive, Radio Raps, Nadine, DJ Jazzy D and Kaptein Kurt Darren this March!
