Elections 2016: Results at 7:00
The results are trickling in from all Voting District and so far 38 percent of the votes have been counted with the ANC leading by 51 percent nationally.
Results of the 2016 local government elections are slowly coming in as of last night with the DA that is currently sitting at 32 percent and the EFF on 6 percent.
The counting of the results for the 2016 Municipal Elections continued through the night after South Africans voted on Wednesday.
General Secretary of the Economic Freedom Fighters, Godrich Gardee says it's still early days as the Big metros have not yet come in.
Meanwhile ANC Deputy Secretary General, Jesse Duarte says the part remains confident they will retain the hotly contested metros, but she says it's misleading right now to say who is leading.
ANC says they have done well in Nelson Mandela Bay and Nkandla.
