IEC operations centre a hive of activity
Millions of South Africans are in long queues across the country to make their mark in the much anticipated municipal elections.
Results will only start to trickle in after voting stations close at 7.00pm.
The IEC earlier briefed the media on the voting process, saying it is happy with how it has proceeded thus far.
The EFF's Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is at the IEC's National Results Operation Centre (ROC) in the west of Pretoria.
Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC Jessie Duarte also paid a visit to the ROC.
The DA's Federal Executive Chairperson James Selfe says they are excited.
The IEC is expected to provide further updates on the Local Government Elections later this afternoon.
