IEC vehicle stuck without petrol

Opposition parties in the Ikageng area of Tlokwe has called for a by-election in that area alleging that the ballots have been tampered with.

This comes after a vehicle transporting ballots got stuck without fuel this morning.
The streets of Ikageng & Potchefstroom are alive this morning with residents making their way to work and some cleaning the streets.
Many are eagerly waiting to learn who their new municipal officials will be with the counting process that has proven to be slow in Tlokwe.
The ANC is currently leading with a big majority of over 70%, but most of the votes in favour of the governing party is coming from the newly added Ventersdorp, which opposition parties previously said was a political ploy to ensure the ANC's majority.

This resident says they are concerned about how the IEC handled the transportation and counting of ballots.
An Independent Councillor, Johannes Malgas told Jacaranda FM News that they want a by-election as they believe the ballots have been tampered with.
