SA must stand up for itself: Malema
Updated | By Samkele Maseko
With a week to go before South Africans head to the polls, EFF leader Julius Malema spent a day in Ekurhuleni.
Malema believes South Africans should face up to the fact that the ANC has abandoned them.
Malema wants South Africans to stop voting with their emotions and told supporters that voting for the EFF is voting for the truth.
The firebrand leaders also invoked the name of former president Nelson Mandela.
He says people must not think voting for the ANC is voting for Mandela, as the former leader is no longer around.
"Don't be part of the crowd. Don't be part of those who are threatened. Even if you are alone, you must raise your hand and say 'no, they will never get my vote'...When Zuma steals you must talk proudly and say 'this is not my mess'," Malema said to a cheering crowd.
Malema says the time has come for South Africans to stand up for themselves.
