Voting in Vuwani to go ahead
Updated | By Maryke Vermaak
Police were confident on Tuesday morning that voting in the troubled area of Vuwani in Limpopo would go ahead as planned.

On Monday those registered for special votes headed to the polls.
The area has been in the spotlight since early this year after protests relating to municipal demarcations saw more than twenty schools torched.
However, acting police commissioner Kgomotso Phahlane says his officers will keep the peace over the next two days of voting.
There was a massive police presence in the area on Tuesday morning with Phahlane saying that security forces have been deployed to ensure that voters are able to make their mark.
