Actor Cobus Visser dies

Actor and voice-over artist, Cobus Visser, known for his roles in Villa Rosa and Binnelanders, has died. 

Actress, singer, and director, Lizz Meiring confirmed the news on social media on Monday morning.

Visser had a history of heart problems and had worked on iconic Afrikaans productions such as Onder Draai die Duiwel Rond, Vetkoek Paleis, Egoli: Place of Gold, Fiela se Kind, and Die Storie van Klara Viljee. 

Meiring wrote in a Facebook post on Monday: "We've come 35 years together, but he has been set free, and that is what matters."
