Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' reclaims No.1 spot
Updated | By Music Reporter
The 'Ordinary' continues to dominate charts around the world.

Alex Warren's smash hit, 'Ordinary', has achieved a rare feat on America's main songs chart.
The track reclaimed its No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after being dethroned by 'Golden', a song recorded for Netflix's 'Kpop Demon Hunters' film.
Warren has now spent 10 nonconsecutive weeks at #1. According to Billboard, 4% of all Hot 100 No. 1s have reached double digits in the charts' 67-year history.
“‘Ordinary’ is the first to reach the mark since Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s ‘Luther,’ which led for 13 weeks beginning in March. Before that, Shaboozey’s ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ reigned for a record-tying 19 weeks beginning in July of last year."
'Ordinary' has reached the top spot in South Africa, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany and more.
It's still charting on the Top 40 with Danny Painter. The track, which was released in February, is currently at #20.
Warren released his debut studio album, ‘You'll Be Alright, Kid’, in July. The album features the singles 'On My Mind' with Blackpink singer Rosé and 'Bloodline' with country star Jelly Roll.
His latest single, ‘Eternity,’ is also climbing the charts. It peaked at #19 in America and is #32 on Jacaranda FM's Top 40.
Meanwhile, Warren has been named as one of the performers for the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
He has been nominated for several awards, including 'Best New Artist' and 'Song of the Year' for 'Ordinary'.
Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Ricky Martin, Busta Rhymes, Sombr and DJ Snake will also take to the stage with more performers expected to be announced.
Lady Gaga received the most nominations at this year's awards, with 12 in total. Bruno Mars follows closely behind with 11 nominations.
Kendrick Lamar, Rosé, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, The Weekend and Carpenter are also among the top nominees.
South African singer Tyla received a nod in the 'Best Afrobeats' and 'Best Choreography' categories for her song, 'Push 2 Start'.
The MTV VMAs ceremony will be held at the UBS Arena in New York on September 7.
