British actress wants to build a clinic in SA

British actress, Helen George is currently in Mamre, just outside Cape Town and has vowed financial support to build a clinic for the struggling community.
The 31-year-old actress, who plays sassy a nurse in the series, has been in South Africa to film a Christmas special and was moved to action after witnessing the primitive conditions in Mamre.
Helen George is an English actress who is best known for her role as Trixie Franklin on the BBC TV drama series, Call the Midwife.
In 2015 she participated in the 13th series of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, she was paired with Aljaž Skorjanec, and finished sixth.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, George spent hours in the little town's dilapidated clinic where after she approached a welfare organisation to get involved with help with better health services.
The actress was apparently desperate to help and has pledged to return to the town with other cast members and build a midwifery clinic, according to the report.
