Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently welcomed their third child, Esti Maxine Stephens, who was born in January.

For most women, pregnancy can affect their bodies and how they look. This can have an impact on their confidence.

Chrissy says as a mother to a newborn, confidence matters.

"It's easy confidence-wise, and honestly, a lot of the time, confidence is everything with it," Teigen told People

But she added that being a mother of three has taught her the importance of not allowing people's opinions to worry you.

"You're just not so on edge and worried and you're also not worried about what other people have to say as much."

She says with so many people acting like experts, mothers need to choose who they listen to.

As a mother of three she has learned that "you don't take parenting advice from everybody" like she used to.

The cookbook author says she also does not allow anyone to shame her for how she chooses to raise her kids.

"I do not accept being shamed about anything," she adds.

"A lot of people think that they're experts on everything, but when you have three of something like that, you know [what you're doing]," she said.

As the saying goes, 'experience is the best teacher'. Chrissy says she is now in a comfortable place when it comes to parenting.

"I mean, we've seen everything happen. We've dealt with the stitches. We've had a toe almost come off. We've had broken bones. We've seen it all. It's fine."
