Danny Glover in SA
US actor and political activist, Danny Glover, will be the guest speaker at the Numsa gala dinner following the conclusion of the union's 10th national congress.
Union spokesperson, Patrick Craven, says Glover is an old friend of the metal workers union.
"Danny Glover is a very old friend of Numsa, but more importantly he has throughout his life been a political activists who was involved in many workers disputes in America," Craven says.
Craven adds that Glover was a logical choice as guest speaker.
"Glover has taken part in Numsa events in the past, so it is not the first time," Craven says.
