Don McLean says Taylor Swift is a 'monster star'
"She does everything that she does better than everybody else."
Don McLean has joined the list of celebrities publicly praising Taylor Swift for her incredible gift of music.
The singer-songwriter and guitarist spoke to The Standard in an interview.

"Taylor Swift is a person who is an example of what talent and really hard work can accomplish," McLean told the publication.
The 'American Pie' hitmaker says Swift serves as an example.
“She is a person who is an example of what talent and really hard work can accomplish,” McLean said.
He went on to describe Swift as a “monster star, the size of the galaxy”.
“A lot of people think showbusiness is just something ‘oh you’re so wonderful, you should be a star’ well, by the way, Taylor Swift was a star for 15 years before she became a monster star, the size of the galaxy for god sake," he said.
The 78-year-old said Taylor Swift's work is unmatched.
“She’s working all of the time and she does everything that she does better than everybody else, whether it’s a video or a performance or songwriting or records or what ever, she does it all, just way better than everybody else and it’s really interesting because all of those other acts are suddenly old fashioned,” he added.

The comments come a week after Blackpink's Lisa also spoke about how Swift inspires her.
The singer was speaking to Elle as their latest cover star.
She praised Taylor as an incredible musician.
“She’s incredible!” Lisa told Elle.
“Singing alone on a stage for three and a half hours is crazy."
"I maybe could do it with a lot of practice,” the 'Rockstar' singer added.
