EFF is not calling for violence – Floyd Shivambhu

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)
deputy president Floyd Shivambu says the party is merely fighting for the
rights of black people.
Shivambu was speaking at the High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday.
The EFF is fighting a legal battle against the state to get the Riotous Assemblies Act rendered invalid.
The court case follows the National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) decision to charge leader Julius Malema for inciting people to occupy vacant land.
Shivambu says the party is undoing apartheid in courts as the governing party is not willing to play its part.

He says there will be no violence if the court rules in their favour as people will not be invading homes or farms.
"There's not going to be any chaos that is going to happen here. We're not just going to invade people's homes and productive farms and all of those things. That is not the policy position of the EFF, the position is we should occupy unused land
"People can resort to like interdicts, like getting court order to evict the people who have now occupied the land instead of calling the police to come and brutalise our people, let us a civil option in terms of the law that will deal with the trespass act. I think that is the essence of the argument that we are making with regards to the trespass act," Shivambu says.
