EXCITING NEWS: Jacaranda FM and Martin Bester win big at 'Best of Pretoria' awards
Just when we thought 2018 couldn't get any better - Jacaranda FM and our breakfast host bagged three awards.
For many, there is simply no better place to live than in Pretoria.
The city has so much to offer, and its versatility knows no bounds. Think purple streets in October, the crowd at Loftus Versveld when the Bulls score a try, and the happy sounds of vuvuzelas from hooting taxis draped in Mamelodi Sundowns flags.
The Best of Pretoria Readers’ Choice Awards celebrates all this and more, by giving residents the chance to vote for the best the capital city has to offer.
And Jacaranda FM has once again bagged not two, but THREE awards; Best Local Radio Station, Best Local Radio Show Best Local Radio Personality.

Just when you think the man could not do any more, his fans voted his radio show, Breakfast with Martin Bester, their favourite local radio show. The man has some talents! And we’re very glad that we have great company on our way to the office every morning. The show is jam-packed with all kinds of interesting topics, great conversation, guests and, of course, music.
BEST LOCAL RADIO PERSONALITY (Martin Bester)
He’s hot, happening and one of the most popular radio presenters in the country. He is Jacaranda FM’s Martin Bester, of course. Add to that a few hit songs from his band Kinky Robot and his solo album, and you truly have an entertainment force to be reckoned with. Congrats on being voted best local radio personality, Martin! We’re big fans.
