Jacaranda Day can only be 'plesierig' with this rocker on stage!

With a star-studded line-up, Jacaranda Day 2017 is promising to be a fun-filled day for the whole family.
Today's featured artist is a coach on the popular reality show The Voice SA and known as the queen of South African rock.
Her songs, both in English and Afrikaans, has garnered critical acclaim.
Born in Brussels to a South African diplomat, the blonde rocker grew up in Belgium before moving to Johannesburg.
She attended the National School of the Arts before going on to study drama, but dropped out of university in 2001 to focus on a career in music.
The very same year she released her debut album Poles Apart.
The smash-hit Afrikaners is Plesierig has since achieved iconic status, and was listed as one of the 100 greatest ever South African songs.
And in 2008 she won the South African Music Award for Best Female Solo Artist.

The legendary Karen Zoid will be on stage at the Monument Amphitheatre on the 27th of May.
