Daily Maverick named them both, 'SA Villain of the Year.'

Subsequent episodes look at why Bester was called the 'Facebook Rapist', how a celebrity doctor fell for a convicted criminal and left her children behind to go on the run with him to Tanzania, and who really died in Cell 35.

In the second episode, Jacaranda FM employee, Mathaba Khalanyane, revisits the moment he met Thabo Bester.

"I met Thabo Bester in 2011 as an aspiring filmmaker. He signed me a bogus television gig. Little did I know it would cause me to lose a friendship and make me a suspect in the eyes of the police. He turned me into an enemy in the industry. Thabo Bester was charming, a sweet talker..."
