Locnville warns fans against scam

The lads from Locnville are warning fans against a scam that doing the rounds on WhatsApp.

According to a tweet by Locnville's official twitter handle, girls are being scammed into sharing pictures as well as their location with the person/s impersonating the band.
The tweet reads: We've been made aware that someone is impersonating us on WhatsApp and other platforms to get girls to send pics and locations, it's NOT US!
They also said that if fans receive any type of communication from them on WhatsApp or similar chat services, asking for pictures and locations, it is not them.

It is not clear where the scam originated from or what the motive is for the messages that is being sent out to random numbers, but Locnville has distanced themselves from it.
Locnville is a South African electro hop music duo consisting of identical twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin.

The Cape Town twins, who recently moved to Johannesburg, are singer-songwriters, song producers and musicians, in addition to being guitarists, drummers and business entrepreneurs.
Their third studio album titled Taste the Weekend on the 17 June 2016.
