Mandoza memorial taking place in Joburg

The official memorial service for Mandoza will take place at the Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

According to the family spokesperson, Mzwakhe Tshabalala, the kwaito legend will be remembered at a public memorial service before being laid to rest on Saturday.
Mduduzi Edmund Tshabalala, better known by his stage name, Mandoza, died after a lengthy battle with a brain tumour.
His death sent shock waves through the country with government officials, artists, producers, musicians and members of the public expressing their grief at his untimely passing.

Mandoza's manager Kevin Ntaopane told the media that he was with the kwaito star until the end.
"I held him in my arms as he took his last breath," Ntaopane said.
Mourners are expected to descend on the Ellis Park Arena when the official memorial kicks-off at midday.
