With Game Of Thrones returning for its sixth season on Monday 25 April at 03:00 M-Net Edge fans can also look forward to the lively new talk show, After the Thrones.

The weekly edition of After The Thrones will be available from Thursday 28 April at 22:00 on M-Net Edge channel 102 and will be available on all on DStv Catch Up Platforms (excluding PRODEA) from Tuesday 26 April (times to be announced).

 

After the Thrones will be presented by television critics and writers Chris Ryan and Andy Greenwald. The hour-long show will delve into humorous and sophisticated discussions about the epic fantasy series, Game Of Thrones.

 

Greenwald and Ryan previously hosted the hit podcast, Watch the Thrones, and currently hosts the podcast The Watch. Greenwald has established himself as one of America’s premiere television critics, and is currently working on the book “How To Watch TV” (Ecco Press). Ryan is the executive editor of the podcast feed, The RingerThe Watch was hailed as one of the best pop-culture podcasts on the internet by Vulture and Entertainment Weekly.

 

In After The Thrones, these presenters will recap the latest episode, explain the who, what, when and where, and explore the complicated politics and history of Game Of Thrones, while offering absurd and not-so-absurd theories about future episodes.

 

The executive producers of After The Thrones are Bill Simmons and BSMG President Eric Weinberger, with Chris Ryan and Andy Greenwald serving as co-executive producers.
