They may not have won the reality TV competition but has since announced that they signed a deal with Cowell, known as one of the most powerful music producers in the world and also a judge on America's Got Talent.
Schmidt says the choir is excited to be working with Sony South and will soon be releasing new material.
"For us, it is about fulfilling our dream of sustainable employment for our singers. It needs to be handled responsibly because we are dealing with younger singers," adds Schmidt.
He says Cowell is the perfect person to take the choir forward.
"He was amazing to us, on-air and off-air. We are enthralled to work with his company."
Schmidt says the choir has no plans to move to the US and will continue establishing their roots in Limpopo.
