Simon Cowell reveals shocking reason he turned down $150K
This is one fan interaction Simon Cowell will never forget.
Simon Cowell is comfortable judging on shows like 'The X Factor' and 'America's Got Talent', but he draws the line at X-rated content.
The 65-year-old revealed that his weirdest fan encounter involved a couple asking him to judge their performance in the bedroom.
"I was in a restaurant, and this guy comes up to me. He said, 'I love your show. Would you take a picture?' [I say], 'Sure,' he said on the 'How to Fail with Elizabeth Day' podcast.
Things took a bizarre turn when the man introduced his wife.
"Would you judge us having sex?" the couple asked.
Cowell was shocked at first. "I'm, like, 'Are you winding me up?' They went, 'No, we'll pay you,'" the star recalled.
He jokingly asked how much they would pay him and was shocked by the amount they offered.
"It was actually a lot of money. And I thought, do I? No, I just can't do it. It was $150,000."
Most people would jump at the chance to make a quick buck at the rate this economy is going. However, most people are not millionaires like Cowell.
That's small change to a man who once drove a $1 million Bugatti Veyron and reportedly has a net worth of $600 million.
Cowell might not be judging hanky-panky anytime soon, but he is getting ready for the 20th season of 'America's Got Talent'.
He joins judges Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Melanie' Mel B' Brown, who will replace Heidi Klum.
"It is absolutely brilliant to be able to announce this year as our 20th season. Over the years, we have seen some amazing acts and met some truly incredible people. It’s true that two or three minutes can change your life," Cowell said about the show.
