Counterfeit clothing brands including sports apparel along with designer brands have been on the rise and made accessible at cheaper prices, bringing down sales of the actual brand.
South African-born international fashion designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee, has taken to social media to address being aware of the counterfeit clothing sold nationwide.
This conversation resurfaced after his recent exclusive interview where he addressed the harm “fakes” bring to the brand, especially coming out of COVID-19.
He went on to say that his team has tried all means to pull most of the fakes off the market, however, it is very disheartening having to see his hard work being ripped off.
