The Voice SA: It's time to announce your Top 12
Updated | By MornéJK
With only a couple of weeks left leading up to the final of The Voice SA on Sunday 22 May, coaches Karen Zoid, Bobby van Jaarsveld, Lira and Kahn Morbee used their very last saves last week.
They granted one of their team members a guaranteed spot in the Top 12 whereafter the outcome of the series will solely be in the hands of the voting public.
Apart from the four talent saved by their respective coaches only the singers who received the most support at the voting polls will have the opportunity to continue their vocal journey and possibly become the first Voice of South Africa.
So, who will join #Team Bobby’s current saved team member, popular blind singer Vernon Barnard on stage this week?
The race is on for cool kids Austin Lurring from Pietermaritzburg and Xanilee Hammond from Alberton and mature performer Gavin Edwards who has decided to clean-up his act after overindulging the rock-and-roll lifestyle.
In #TeamKaren, the burning question is whether Karen’s former back-up singer Thapelo Lekoane from Alexandra will receive enough votes to stay in the competition once again, joining powerhouse performer Thembeka Mnguni.
She’s up against Cape Town’s Jono Grayson and former fitter-and-turner apprentice Almur Marais, also fondly known as “Stilfontein”.
While Jono and Almur have previously been saved by The Voice SA fans, this is the first time that Thapelo is up for the vote.
