WATCH: "The saga will end"

The final Stars Wars trailer has been sent into our universe - simply stating "The saga will end. The story lives forever".

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" is the final episode in the Luke Skywalker Saga that began in 1977.
It is expected to close the book on some storylines from throughout the 42-year long franchise.
The trailer promises a dramatic ending with shots of battles ontop of ships on raging oceans, jumps across canyons in enormous jungles, teary-eyed close-ups, and of course, lightsabers.
The producers also repurposed shots of Princess Leia - played by Carrie Fisher and who passed away in December 2016.
Since "A New Hope" reached our shores from a galaxy far, far away - the saga has since spanned two original sequels, three prequels, a full "sequel trilogy" and two stand-alone films.
The movie will star Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac alongside original trilogy cast members Mark Hamill, Ian McDiarmid, and Anthony Daniels as the robot C-3PO.
"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will hit cinemas on 20 December.
