My name has been tarnished, says Ndobe

The mayor of Harry Gwala District Mluleki Ndobe told the media outside the Umzimkhulu Magistrates Court that his name has been tarnished.
His statement comes after charges against him, in connection with the killing of former ANC Youth League secretary general Sindiso Magaqa, were provisionally withdrawn on Monday.
Magaqa died in a hail of bullets after being ambushed in 2017.

"All I can say is that my name has been tarnished for wrong reasons and I don't know what are the motives for that, but I will consult with the ANC leadership on the issue," said Ndobe.
Ndobe has spent the past 8 days in jail with co-accused Sbonelo Myeza, Mbulelo Mpofana, and Zweliphansi Skhosana.
All were charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
