One dead in Pinetown car crash

A man died when his car rolled and he became trapped underneath it in Caversham Road in Pinetown, Durban, on Saturday night, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found a badly damaged car on a pavement. The man was trapped under the car, ER24 spokeswoman Chitra Bodasing-Harduth said on Sunday.
“Sadly the man, believed to be about 35 years of age, had succumbed to his injuries. He sustained multiple injuries. He was declared dead.”
Fire and rescue personnel were on the scene to lift the car to gain access to the man. The cause of the accident was unknown, Bodasing-Harduth said.
