10 killed after bus rolls down embankment
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
At least ten people have been killed and approximately 40 others injured Friday afternoon after a bus rolled down an embankment off the R712 in Golden Gate in the Free State.

ER24 said they arrived on scene to find the bus lying upright some distance off the road. Numerous bodies were strewn across the scene.
"On assessment, paramedics found that ten people had already succumbed to their multiple, fatal injuries. Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the patients and they were declared dead on scene," ER24 said.
40 other patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to critical.
"Paramedics treated the patients and provided the critically injured patients with advanced life support intervention. Once treated, the patients were transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further treatment," ER24 said.
The cause of the collision is not yet known, but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
