Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Child Welfare South Africa has been around for 92 years, making it one of the oldest and largest non-government child protection organisations in the country.

With an office in each province, it serves 164 member organisations that identify vulnerable children in the communities it is situated.
The Organisation's main objectives include:
- The protection of children in the country from all kinds of abuse
- Making a difference in the lives of children, establishing networks and partnerships to ensure the safeguarding of children
- Being a credible, professional body for child protection
- Providing support and guidance to its Member Organisations
Monitoring and Evaluations Manager of Child Welfare SA Zibuso Muregi, says the organisation's strength lies in its 164 member organisations reaching the most vulnerable.
Child Welfare SA says it is pushing for 365 days of activism against women and child abuse through its various programmes.
