Gauteng traffic police have arrested a 42-year-old man on the N1 John Vorster Avenue offramp in Centurion after a high-speed chase on Saturday morning.

The driver was nabbed driving at 187 km/h despite the speed limit being 120 km/h.
The man is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Courts on Monday morning.
Spokesperson for the provincial Traffic Department, Sello Maremane says the suspect is facing charges of reckless and negligent driving with an added charge of driving above the prescribed driving limit.
"It is so unfortunate that as we wrap up transport month, we come across such road violators,” said Maremane.
"We just want to warn our motorist as Gauteng traffic police we will leave no stone unturned to ensure that people comply with the rules of the road."
Maremane says as the country heads to the festive season, his department has beefed up it’s capacity on the roads.
