3 arrested for Tsomo initiate murders

Police in Eastern Cape have arrested three suspects in connection with the murders of three initiates in Tsomo.
The bodies of three male initiates were found at Tsomo village in the Eastern Cape at the weekend.
“The three male victims aged between 19 to 20 years were found, fatally wounded, with gunshot wounds on their upper bodies on Saturday, 2 January at about 08:00, inside a traditional initiation hut (ibhoma),” says Eastern Cape police spokesperson Khaya Tonjeni.
“The three suspects aged 27, 35 and 37 were arrested on Monday at Jojweni and Tsomo on Tuesday respectively.”
They are expected to appear at Tsomo Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on a charge of murder.
“The task team were applauded for the breakthrough resulting in the arrests of these three male suspects within 72-hour turnaround time,” says Tonjeni.
