Three alleged hijackers were shot and killed by police for attempting to steal a minibus in Emmarentia on Saturday.

“It is alleged that one of the suspects pointed a gun towards the police officers as they went to their vehicle and drove away. A shooting ensued and the three suspects were shot dead and one was arrested.”
The suspects were found in possession of one pistol, two jammers, house breaking implements, car breaking implements and different car keys and ignitions.
“It is further alleged that the suspects were driving in a vehicle that has false registration numbers,” says Cola.
The officers involved in the killings have been ordered to book in their firearms at the police station.
