Around 30,000 workers in the car manufacturing sector are expected to embark on a strike on Monday, the SABC reported.
Around 30,000 workers in the car manufacturing sector are expected to embark on a strike on Monday, the SABC reported.
The assembly line workers would go on strike after negotiations between the National Union of Metalworkers of SA and the seven largest car manufacturers deadlocked, according to the report on Sunday.
The union was demanding a 14 percent increase. Employers have reportedly offered increases of between 7.5 and 8.5 percent.
