33 Limpopo pupils injured in car crash

Thirty-three pupils from Khesethwane Secondary School and Mashooro
Secondary School at Ga- Mokhwathi village in Limpopo were injured in a car
crash on Monday morning.
“The learners were involved in a car accident enroute to school that left them injured this morning. Twenty-nine learners sustained minor injuries, whereas four are reported to have serious injuries,” says the provincial Education Department spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene.
Chuene says the pupils were admitted to Letaba Hospital in Nkowankowa.

She says the department is not aware of any fatalities as a result of the crash.
“The MEC this afternoon visited the learners at the hospital to personally check the state of affairs and the extent of injuries with regard to the affected learners.
"We are shocked and saddened by this tragic accident. We are praying for our learners to recover speedily. They need all the support medically and otherwise that they can possibly get for them to recover and return to school."
