United States and Australian anti narcotics agents seized 750 kilograms (1,650 pounds) of cocaine from a yacht in the South Pacific country of Vanuatu, authorities said Friday.
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration and Australian Federal Police have teamed up with South Pacific governments since 2010 to examine composed criminal syndicates' utilization of yachts to sneak cocaine from South America to Australia.
Australian Customs and Border Protection Service articulated that Vanuatu police aided in the seizure on Monday at the capital, Port Vila.
The cocaine worth 370 million Australian dollars ($330 million) were discovered in the motor compartment of the yacht.
No captures have yet been made.
