5 injured when bus leaves road in Cape Town
Updated | By ANA
Five people were injured on Tuesday morning when a bus left the road and drove into an estate in Kuilsrivier, near Cape Town.
ER24 reported that its paramedics, along with other emergency services, arrived on scene and found the bus parked among bushes by the roadside.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said that on assessment, paramedics found that five people, including a pregnant woman, had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Kuilsrivier Hospital for further treatment.
“It is understood that bus had been carrying workers at the time of the incident,” Meiring said. “The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the dirt road.”
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
