Police accused the two daughters, Nonhlanhla and Mapume Mthunywa, of orchestrating the murder in the hope of benefitting from an insurance pay-out.

Dlamini was allegedly kidnapped, assaulted and gang-raped.

Police believe Dlamini was held down by Nonhlanhla and a friend while she was gang-raped.

The two daughters have already appeared in the Barberton Magistrate’s Court.

The alleged mastermind Nombuso Zodwa Ndwandwa handed herself over to police last Thursday and appeared in court on Monday facing a charge of murder.

"A 41-year-old suspect Nombuso Ndwandwa has appeared in court today (Monday) facing the charges of murder relating to the death of Wanter Dlamini,” says Hlati.

“At this case, it also alleged that two of Wanters daughters were part of the ordeal that actually lead to her death who have already been arrested and had countless appearances at the court along with Stanley Mashakeng (who is) 34 years of age.”

He adds: “We were then sorting out Zodwa up until she brought herself last week and we effected the arrested. Whilst we were still dealing with the issue today another 35-year-old suspect which we believe is the last one also turned up."

Hlati says the fifth suspect will appear in the Barberton Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
