7 killed in Mpumalanga crash
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Seven people were killed in collision on the R555 between Middelburg and Stoffberg in Mpumalanga on Saturday evening.

Spokesperson for the provincial department of community safety and security, Moeti Mmusi, says the driver of the bakkie lost control and hit by a trailer that came off the hook from another vehicle travelling on the opposite side of the road.
The bakkie then collided head-on with the truck.
Mmusi says the seven victims include the driver of the bakkie and the six passengers who were travelling with him.
"The police as well as our safety engineering officials are investigating the exact cause of the accident,” says Mmusi.
"MEC Gabisile Tshabalala has once again called on motorists to exercise extreme caution and obey all the rules of the road so that everyone can arrive safely, amid the high number of accidents on the province's roads."
