AA predicts massive petrol price hike for March
Updated | By Princess Mahogo
Motorists are expected to pay more for both grades of petrol and diesel from Wednesday.
The Automobile Association analyzed data from the Central Energy Fund and found that a significant increase in the price of petrol is on the cards for March.
The AA is predicting that 93 ULP and 95 ULP petrol will increase by between R1.22/litre and R1.27/litre.
Diesel is expected to climb by 28 cents a litre.
The prices will be effective from Wednesday, 1 March 2023.
Spokesperson Layton Beard says the increases will hurt already strained consumers.
“We urge consumers to monitor their fuel usage carefully, and to budget according to the new fuel prices.”
