Act now against corruption: Ramaphosa
Updated | By ANA
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa on Friday, said that rooting-out corruption and ending corrupt links is a sign of good governance.

Ramaphosa told the delegates at the Limpopo Economic Summit that government leaders must stop corruption and emphasised the need to end corruption. He said that good governance impacted the economy and had the ability to create jobs.
“Good governance must mean that we have cut our links with corruption, good governance must means that we have rooted out people who are corrupt,” said on Friday when addressing summit.
“Good governance means that when we see corruption we must act on it without any delay, because delaying actions against corruption brings cancer, and make it bigger, and bigger…and bigger.”
He commended Limpopo premier Stan Mathabatha on efforts he led in repairing the financial crisis which resulted in the province being placed under administration. The province was placed under administration from 2011 until earlier in 2016.
“We want leadership that is committed to the people of our country, leadership that will not be found wanting in any respect, whatsoever and leadership that inspires confidence.”
Attraction of investment is anchored on sound planning, stability and stewed leadership, he adds.
“If you want to attract investors demonstrate that you can plan your economy, you can come up with strategies that will be to grow your economy and that you are able to grow your economy.”
