Afghan man on the run after wife killed with axe
Updated | By Lonwabo Miso
Police in northern Afghanistan were Thursday searching for a man suspected of killing his policewoman wife with an axe, police said.

The incident took place Wednesday in the Kol-e-Qasabi area of Pul-e-Khumri city, said Javid Basharat, a spokesman for the Baghlan police chief. Sabza Gul, 28, was married three years ago and joined the police force soon after her marriage, Basharat said.
Police were looking for the husband, who fled the area after killing Gul, Basharat said.
