GOLD TALKS - Mineworkers Union Amcu has rejected the latest wage offer in the gold mining industry, and are now threatening to strike. 


The three other unions, Solidarity, NUM and Uasa have signed the agreement reached with AngloGold Ashanti and Harmony Gold. 


Sibanye Gold also did not sign the deal, which would see mineworkers receive an increase of 6% during the first year of the three year agreement. 


OPERATION PHAKISA - President Jacob Zuma says the rollout of Operation Phakisa in the education sector will be a game changer. 


President Jacob Zuma launched the rollout of Information Techonology within basic education in Boksburg on the East Rand today.


Phakisa aims to give priority to poverty and unemployment highlighted in the National Development Plan.
