The Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court has again postponed the R1.8 billion tender fraud case involving the Department of Correctional Services and Bosasa.

The department’s former CFO Patrick Gillingham, former boss Linda Mti and Bosasa CFO Andries van Tonder briefly appeared in court on Thursday.

The fourth accused, namely Agrizzi, could not appear in court.

Investigating Directorate spokesperson Sindisiwe Twala says the warrant of arrest for Agrizzi is stayed until his next appearance.

“Agrizzi failed to appear and his lawyer said his failure is as a result of him still being in hospital. A warrant of arrest was issued against Agrizzi, however, it will not be enforced until the next court appearance.

“The Pretoria Specialized Commercial Crimes Court postponed the Bosasa Operations R1.8 billion fraud and corruption case to the 18 February 2021, to allow the defence more time to study the docket,” she adds.

Agrizzi was hospitalised last month after his health quickly deteriorated.

All four men are currently out on bail.
